A Dome Pendant With a Flash of Nickel

The Brindley pendant takes a rounded, classic dome shape and gives it a striking twist. This version pairs a deep, matte green exterior with a bright polished nickel interior, so the shade catches the light from every angle even before it's switched on. It's a single hand spun ceiling light in solid brass, built with the same rounded proportions as the rest of the Brindley range.

Smooth Nickel in Dingle Green

This particular Brindley is finished in a rich, almost forest toned green called Dingle on the outside, with a smooth nickel plate lining the inside of the shade. The green paint has a soft matte texture that sits comfortably against most wall colours, while the nickel interior stays bright and reflective, bouncing light back down and out from under the shade. A dark bronze lamp holder and black fabric cable finish the fitting without competing with the shade itself.

Where It Works Best

Because the drop can be adjusted, this Brindley works just as well hung singly over a dining table as it does grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island. The dark green and nickel combination gives it enough presence to work as a single statement pendant in a living room or hallway too.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Dingle green Brindley is one of the more recent finishes to come out of that same Welsh workshop, hand spun in brass and hand finished before it's painted.

What bulb does this pendant need?
It takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting. The bulb isn't included.

Is this pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even with a compatible dimmer switch.

How long is the cable, and can the height be changed?
It comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, which gives enough length to adjust the hanging height to suit the room.

Can I return this pendant if I change my mind?
No. Like every From The Anvil fitting, it's handmade to order in Wales, so it can't be returned once an order has been placed.
