The Brindley pendant is one of From The Anvil's classic dome shades, spun from solid brass and finished so the inside catches the light every time the bulb switches on. This one comes in Bluff, a warm, taupe toned grey that sits somewhere between industrial and soft.
The outside of the shade is powder coated in that warm grey Bluff tone, while the inside is left in a smooth, polished nickel finish. The contrast is the whole point. From below or at an angle, the grey reads calm and understated, then the nickel interior throws a bright, reflective glow once the bulb is on.
How It Works
- Takes one LED bulb with an E27 fitting, 6W maximum (bulb not included).
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all necessary fixings.
- 1.5m of black fabric cable provided as standard.
- Designed as a single pendant, so pair two or three for a run rather than relying on integrated multi light fittings.

The Brindley's adjustable drop makes it easy to hang at different heights, so it works just as well grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island as it does hung singly over a dining table. From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting like this Brindley pendant made at the same Welsh workshop.
