From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting came later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, where the company still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant's brass shade and nickel plating are made using those same methods.
