Each Brindley is spun from a single sheet of solid brass, then plated in smooth nickel and polished to a clean, even shine. Unlike the brand's aged brass or copper finishes, this one is designed to stay consistent rather than develop a patina, so it keeps its sleek, cool toned look for as long as it hangs.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged there today, and brass and copper hot forged, using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant, in its polished nickel finish, is produced at that same Welsh workshop rather than on a mass production line.

Will the smooth nickel finish change colour over time?
No. Unlike the brand's aged brass finish, smooth nickel is plated to stay consistent, so it won't develop a patina and just needs the occasional dust or wipe to stay looking bright.

Is the Smooth Nickel Brindley pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.

Does it come with a bulb?
No, bulbs are sold separately. The fitting takes one LED bulb with an E27 base, rated at 6W maximum.

Can the drop height be changed after installation?
Yes. It's supplied with 1.5m of black fabric cable, which a qualified electrician can trim and rewire to set the exact height needed.
