This Brindley cluster pendant groups five to six dome shades on staggered cables from a single ceiling rose, turning one fitting into a small constellation of light. It works well as a centrepiece for a room that needs more presence than a single pendant can give.
Each shade in this cluster is made from chrome and nickel, hand finished in a soft matte blue called Upstream, with a polished nickel rim and reflector inside the shade. The matte colour outside and the bright metal within catch the light differently depending on where you stand.
How It Works
- Cluster of five to six Brindley dome shades suspended from one ceiling rose at staggered heights
- Ceiling rose measures 400mm in diameter and 30mm deep, each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm high, with a minimum drop height of 1500mm
- Each shade takes one E27 bulb, up to 6W LED, bulbs not supplied
- Dimmable if used with dimmable bulbs

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley cluster's chrome and nickel shades, hand finished in Upstream blue, are made there today.
