Smooth Nickel, Tump Green

This Brindley is spun from solid brass, then plated in a smooth, bright nickel that gives the metal a cool, polished edge rather than a warm one. Over that plated base sits Tump, a pale, hillside toned green from From The Anvil's colour range. It is a soft, muted shade rather than anything bold, so the nickel trim and interior still catch the light and show through under the paintwork. Grouped together, the shades pick up warm lamplight against that pale green in a way that feels contemporary rather than traditional.

• Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm in height
• Minimum drop from the ceiling is 1500mm, giving enough cable to stagger the shades at different heights
• Each shade takes an E27 fitting, with a 6W maximum LED bulb (not supplied)
• Dimmable, as long as dimmable LED bulbs are fitted

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley cluster carries that same hot forged brass through into a plated, hand finished pendant, made at that workshop rather than on a mass production line.

How many bulbs does this pendant need, and what type? It takes 5 to 6 E27 bulbs, each rated for a 6W maximum LED, and bulbs are not supplied with the fitting.

Can the shades be hung at different heights? Yes. The pendant has a minimum drop of 1500mm from the ceiling, which leaves enough cable to stagger each shade.

Is this pendant dimmable? Yes, provided you fit dimmable LED bulbs. It will not dim with standard, non dimmable bulbs.
