This version is finished in a smooth nickel plate over the dome, paired with a polished chrome rim inside the shade that throws a bright reflected edge when the bulb is lit. From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, and pieces like this Brindley cluster are still hand forged and hot forged from steel, brass and copper at the same Welsh workshop, using traditional methods alongside modern engineering.
