A Bold Cone Silhouette in Dusk
The Hockley pendant is spun from solid copper into a wide, angular cone, then finished in Dusk, a deep twilight toned grey blue that gives its broad silhouette real presence overhead. The exterior colour sits in complete contrast to the bright copper visible along the inner curve of the shade, so the fitting reads differently depending on where you stand beneath it.
The Dusk Finish
Dusk is a deep, cool toned grey blue applied over the solid copper body, leaving the metal exposed and polished along the inside of the shade and around its rim. In daylight the exterior reads close to a dark slate blue, while the exposed copper catches whatever light is switched on beneath it and throws a warm glow back down into the room.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching Dusk ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
Where It Works Best
The Hockley's wide cone shape makes it a strong single fitting over a kitchen island, where its scale and angled shade can hang low without crowding the worktop below. It also suits a dining room or hallway as a single statement piece, and more than one can be hung side by side over a longer table or island for a fuller look. In a living room it works well as a single dropped pendant over a reading corner or side table rather than as the room's main light.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade pieces and has since grown into a family run manufacturer based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley's copper cone is spun and finished by hand at that same Welsh workshop, coloured in Dusk rather than left in its natural copper tone.

Questions People Ask
Is the Hockley pendant in Dusk dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.
Does the Dusk finish cover the inside of the shade too?
No. The Dusk colour is applied to the outside of the cone only, leaving the inside finished in bright, polished copper.
What size is the Hockley pendant shade?
The cone shade measures 510mm across and 290mm high, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.
Why is this pendant non returnable?
Each one is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
