A Cone Shade With Real Presence

The Hockley pendant is built around one strong shape, a wide angled cone that narrows to a neat fitting at the ceiling and opens out into a broad, flat edged shade below. Switch it on and the shade sends light straight down in a clean pool, while the rim glows with a warm coppery edge.

Dingle Green With a Copper Lining

This version is finished in Dingle, a deep, muted green that reads more like a workshop paint than a bright modern shade. The green sits on the outside of the cone only. Turn it over and the inside is left in raw, polished copper, so when the bulb is lit the underside throws back a soft coppery glow against the darker green exterior. Each shade is spun and finished by hand, so expect the slight, honest variation that comes with a handmade piece rather than a moulded one.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using the same traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley pendant's copper shade is spun and finished at that same Welsh workshop, using the hot forging skills the company built its name on.

• Can I dim this pendant? Yes, the Hockley is dimmable as long as it is fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Does the green finish cover the inside of the shade too? No, the Dingle green finish is only on the outside. The inside of the shade is left in polished copper.
• What bulb does it take? It takes one LED bulb with an E27 fitting, rated at 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
• How long is the cable? It comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, along with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
