A Dome With a Warm Surprise Inside
The Harborne pendant has the clean, rounded dome shape of a traditional factory light, but there is a twist waiting under the shade. Look up into it and you find a bright copper lining, which throws a warm glow down and out into the room whenever the bulb is lit.
Smooth Copper, Soot Finish
This Harborne is spun from solid copper and finished in Soot, a deep charcoal grey that coats the outside of the dome in a smooth, matte layer. Turn it over and the copper inside is left bare and polished, catching the light and giving off that warm coppery glow the moment the bulb goes on. It is the contrast between the dark exterior and the bright interior that gives this colourway its character.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired, with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard.
- Takes one E27 LED bulb, 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
- Dimmable, as long as you fit a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Its wide dome and single point of light suit spaces where you want one strong pool of light rather than a wash across the whole room. Hang it low over a dining table, use it as a single drop above a kitchen island, or bring it into a living room or hallway where its shape and copper glow can do the work of a feature light.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this pendant's spun copper dome and hand finished Soot coating are a direct result of that same small team's work.
