A Classic Dome Shape in Heath Green

The Harborne pendant keeps its familiar rounded dome shape, spun from a single piece of solid copper. This version is finished in Heath, an earthy, muted green that gives the classic silhouette a calmer, more grounded character than a bright metallic finish. The rim and the whole of the inside are left in bright, polished copper, so a warm coppery glow shows through once the bulb is switched on.

The Heath Finish

Heath sits as a matte, earthy green coat over the smooth copper shade, with none of the shine of the metal showing through on the outside. Turn the shade over and the inside tells a different story. It is left as natural, polished copper, along with the rim, so the two finishes sit side by side rather than blending into one colour. That contrast is most obvious once the light is on, when the copper interior throws a warm glow against the quieter green exterior.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Harborne pendant is one of those copper pieces, spun into shape and coated in Heath at that same workshop before it reaches a customer's ceiling.
