A Dome Pendant with a Copper Glow Inside

The Harborne pendant keeps a classic rounded dome shape, spun from solid copper and finished on the outside in a chalky matt white. Look up into it once it's lit and the copper takes over, throwing a warm, dappled light down into the room. It works just as well hung alone over a small table as it does grouped in a row above a kitchen island.

The Flock Matt White Finish

Flock is a soft, chalky matt white applied to the outside of the dome, giving it a quiet, almost powdery look rather than a hard gloss. Turn the shade over and the finish changes completely. The inside is left in bright, polished copper, so the light that spills out has a warm coppery cast rather than a plain white glow.

How It Works

• Single dome pendant, 400mm in diameter and 270mm high, hung from a matching 120mm ceiling rose.
• Supplied fully wired with 1.5m of black fabric cable and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

Where It Works Best

Hang it low over a dining table or kitchen island for a focused pool of light, or use it in a hallway or living room where a single strong pendant does the work of a whole light fitting. Its rounded shape and pale exterior suit a kitchen or dining room particularly well, especially where warm metal or wood is already in the room for the copper interior to echo.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Harborne pendant's solid copper dome is shaped and finished there by hand before its matt white coat goes on.

Questions People Ask

What colour is the inside of the Harborne pendant?
The inside is left in bright, polished copper, so the light that comes through has a warm coppery tone even though the outside is matt white.

Is this pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch.

Does the Harborne pendant come with a bulb?
No. It takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, sold separately.

Why can't I return this pendant once I've ordered it?
Every Harborne pendant is made to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
