This Harborne pendant takes the classic rounded factory shade and gives it a soft, contemporary finish. Outside it wears a chalky, pale grey Birch coat. Inside, a band of polished copper catches the light and throws a warm glow down and around the room.

Smooth Copper, Dressed In Birch

The shade is spun from solid copper, then finished on the outside with a smooth Birch coat, a gentle pale grey that sits quietly against most colour schemes. Turn it over and the copper is left bare and polished, so the inside of the shade glows warm once the bulb is lit, while the outside stays cool and understated.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the Harborne pendant carries that same hand finished copper through to its softly coloured Birch shade.
