A Contemporary Pendant With a Moody Finish
The Frankley pendant has a clean, rounded silhouette that works equally well on its own or grouped together. This version is finished in Soot, a deep dark grey that gives the shade a much more grounded, contemporary look than the brighter metallics in the range.
The Soot Finish
Underneath the Soot finish, the shade is spun from solid copper, so the warmth of the metal still comes through in the shape and in the polished copper lining inside the shade. From below, the light spills out through that copper interior, giving a warm glow even though the outside reads as a flat, matte charcoal grey.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all necessary fixings.
- Takes one LED bulb only, E27 fitting, 6W maximum. Bulb not supplied.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Lamp measures 412mm in diameter and 240mm high. Ceiling rose measures 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best
Hang it on its own over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, or use two or three in a row above a dining table for a bolder look. The dark, grounded finish also suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, anywhere you want a warm accent without the shine of a polished metal.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the Frankley's spun copper shade and hand applied Soot finish carry that same handmade character through to this darker, more contemporary colourway.
