The Frankley pendant has a bold, sweeping dome shape that pairs an industrial silhouette with real craft. It hangs low and wide, so the shade becomes a feature in its own right rather than just a housing for the bulb.
Slate, Mid Grey
This Frankley is finished in Slate, a mid grey with a soft matte texture across the whole outer shade. Inside, the metal is left in its natural smooth copper, so a warm coppery glow lines the rim whenever the light is on. The contrast between the cool grey outside and the warm copper inside is the whole point of this finish.
How It Works
- Made from copper and bronze, hand finished at the workshop.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting. Bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Shade measures 412mm across and 240mm deep. Ceiling rose measures 106mm across and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best
The wide dome shape and downward spread of light make it a natural fit above a dining table or kitchen island, where a single strong pendant does the work of several smaller lights. It also suits bedrooms, living rooms and hallways, anywhere a bit of industrial character and a warm pool of light are welcome.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the copper lining inside this Frankley shade comes from that same hot forging tradition.
