A Bold Pendant with a Softer Side
The Frankley pendant pairs a wide, sweeping shade with a warm surprise underneath. From outside it wears a chalky matt white coat called Flock. Tip your head back and the shade opens up into a bright band of natural copper. It is a simple shape with two very different characters, one calm and one warm, working together in a single fitting.
Smooth Copper in a Flock Matt White Finish
This particular Frankley starts life as solid spun copper, shaped smooth and rounded rather than hammered or textured. The outside is then dressed in Flock, a soft, powdery matt white that mutes the metal completely. Inside the shade, the copper is left bare and polished, catching the light and throwing a warm coppery glow back down and around the room. The fitting at the top and the ceiling rose carry a dark bronze finish, a quiet contrast to the white shade above them.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop using traditional hand forging and hot forging techniques alongside modern engineering. The Frankley pendant is made there today, its copper shade spun and finished by hand before it leaves Wales.
