A Sculptural Cone Shade in Birch
The Frankley pendant has a wide, tapering cone shade that curves down from a slim neck to a broad, flared rim. Dressed here in Birch, a soft pale grey, it pairs a chalky painted exterior with a polished copper interior, so the shade reads as one soft colour from the side and glows warm copper from below.

Birch is a gentle, stone toned pale grey, painted smoothly over the hand forged copper and bronze shade. The inside is left in bare polished copper, giving a warm coppery glow once the bulb is lit, while the outside stays soft and matte, so the two tones sit in deliberate contrast rather than blending together.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Frankley pendant's copper shade starts life in that same workshop, before its pale Birch finish is painted on by hand.
