A Flower Shaped Wall Light With Room to Angle
The Flora wall light carries the range's soft, petal like curves onto a single wall mounted fitting, held on a double jointed copper arm that swings and tilts to point the shade exactly where it's needed. Rather than throwing one hard beam, the flared shade spreads its light gently across the wall and the room beyond.
Finished in Soot
This Flora is shaped from copper and bronze, then finished in Soot, a deep charcoal grey that sits over the metal rather than replacing it. Turn the shade and a warm copper tone still shows through along its wavy underside and rim, so the fitting reads as dark and matte from most angles but catches a coppery warmth wherever the light falls across it.
How It Works
- Fixes to the wall on a round backplate measuring 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep, with a double jointed copper arm that adjusts the shade's angle and reach.
- Shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Supplied fully wired, ready to connect to a wall switch or fused spur.
Where It Works Best
Its adjustable arm makes it a good fit either side of a bed, where the shade can be angled down for reading light. It also works well in a hallway, flanking a fireplace in a living room, over a dining room sideboard, or as extra light in a kitchen, and pairs naturally with the matching Flora pendant or cluster for a coordinated scheme.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Flora wall light starts life on the same forge before Soot is added over its copper base.

- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can mark the Soot finish and wear through to the copper underneath.
