A Wall Light With Natural Curves
The Flora wall light takes its shape from nature, with a softly waved shade that echoes the curl of a petal rather than a straight edged cone. Mounted on a single adjustable arm, it throws a gentle pool of light across a wall rather than a single hard beam, giving a room a warm and relaxed glow.
Smooth Copper and Elan Black
This version pairs a smooth copper arm and knuckle joint with a shade finished in a deep, matte Elan Black on the outside. Turn the shade over and the underside reveals a warm, amber toned diffuser with a soft marbled texture, so the light that reaches the wall has a gentle golden cast rather than a stark white glare.
How It Works
- Single arm wall light with an adjustable copper knuckle joint, so the head tilts and turns to direct the light where you need it.
- Takes one E14 LED bulb, 6W maximum (bulb not supplied).
- Dimmable if used with dimmable bulbs.
- Lamp head measures 217mm in diameter by 63mm high, projecting 224mm from the wall.
- Fixed on a circular wall plate 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best
The soft, directional glow suits hallways and landings, either side of a bed, or flanking a fireplace in a living room, especially in darker colour schemes where the copper and black stand out. From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The copper knuckle joint on this Flora wall light is shaped using that same hot forging process.
