A Shade With Real Movement in the Metal
The Flora pendant takes its shape from nature rather than a ruler. Its wide, flared shade has a soft, undulating edge, more like a folded petal than a straight cone, so the light it throws never falls in one hard line. Instead it spreads gently across a ceiling and pools warmly below, giving a room a relaxed, ambient glow rather than a stark spotlight.
The Heath Green Finish
This particular Flora is worked from smooth copper and finished on the outside in Heath, an earthy, muted green paint. Turn it over and the copper is left bare and polished, so when the bulb is lit the underside glows with a warm coppery light while the exterior keeps its calm, matte colour. The contrast between the two finishes is part of the design, not an afterthought.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora's hand shaped copper shade and painted finish are a direct result of that hot forging heritage, each one worked and finished by hand rather than stamped out by machine.
