A Softer Kind of Pendant
The Flora pendant takes its shape from nature, with a wide, gently curved shade that ripples at the edge like a flower in bloom. It hangs low and wide over a table or island, spreading light outward rather than down in one hard pool.
Smooth Copper in Flock Matt White
This piece starts life as smooth copper, hand shaped at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop. Here it is finished in Flock, a chalky matt white that coats the outer surface of the shade while leaving the copper exposed and polished on the inside. When the bulb is lit, that inner copper catches the light and throws a warm coppery glow back into the room, a contrast to the cool matt white you see from below.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Flora pendant's wavy copper edge is a good example of that hot forging work, shaped by hand rather than pressed from a mould.

- Wipe the shade with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can mark both the matt white finish and the polished copper interior.
