A Cluster of Soft, Curved Light
The Flora Cluster Pendant gathers five to six flower shaped shades at staggered heights, each one curling and dipping at the edge like a petal that has just settled. Instead of one hard beam, the group breaks the light into several soft pools, so a room gets a gentle, layered glow rather than a single spotlight.
Finished in Slate
This Flora is finished in Slate, a flat mid grey with a quiet, stone like tone. The outer face of each shade wears that grey, while the inside keeps a warm copper lining, so once a bulb is fitted you get a cool grey shell with a soft copper glow showing through underneath. Every shade is hand shaped, so the curl of the edge varies very slightly from one to the next, which is part of the character rather than a flaw.
How It Works
- Cluster pendant with five to six shades, each hung from its own black fabric flex at a staggered length.
- Takes a 6W maximum LED E27 bulb per shade, dimmable if dimmable bulbs are fitted. Bulbs are not supplied.
- Each shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a projection of 224mm. The ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm high.
- Fits to a five way ceiling rose, so all the flex and wiring gather at one central point on the ceiling.
Where It Works Best
Hung at staggered heights, it earns its place above a dining table, a kitchen island, or a wide hallway console, anywhere a spread of light matters more than a single bright point. The grey Slate finish is calm enough to suit a bedroom, living room, or kitchen without pulling too much attention to the fitting itself.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this cluster of hand shaped copper shades is a direct result of that same hands on approach.
