Every shade starts life as smooth copper and bronze, hand shaped into a soft, petal like curve. Here it is finished in Elan Black, a deep matt black that coats the outer face while the coppery tone still glows through on the inside, so each bulb sits inside a warm, metallic interior even though the fixture reads black from below.

How It Works

• Five to six shades are suspended at staggered heights from a single round ceiling rose, so the fitting cascades rather than sitting flat.
• Each shade takes one 6W max LED E27 bulb (bulbs not supplied), giving you the choice of warmth and brightness.
• Dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs. A standard bulb will not dim on its own.
• The ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep. Each shade measures 217mm across and projects 224mm from the rose.
• Hand forged and finished in Wales, so expect the gentle, individual marks of a handmade piece rather than uniform, machine made shades.

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, still hand forged and hot forged from steel, brass and copper at the same Welsh workshop using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Flora Cluster Pendant carries that same hand finished character, with the same copper and bronze the company has worked with for decades shaped into its own black finish.
