The Brindley wall light is designed to swivel, not just shine. A double knuckle joint carries the shade out and away from the wall on a slim arm, so you can angle the light exactly where you need it, over a book, along a hallway, or down onto a headboard. It sits on the wall as a small piece of hand made hardware in its own right, not just a fixture.

Smooth Copper In Tump

This version is spun from solid copper in a smooth, unhammered finish, then painted in Tump, a soft, muted green named after the hillside earthworks found across the Welsh Marches. The green covers the outside of the shade and the arm, while the inside of the shade and both knuckle joints are left in bare, polished copper, so the fitting glows with a warm coppery light even before a bulb goes in.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Brindley's copper shade and knuckle joints are shaped at that same Welsh workshop, using that hot forging process.
