The Brindley wall light is built to point exactly where you want it. Its angled arm pivots on two chunky knuckle joints, so you can tilt and turn the shade to send light up a stairwell, along a hallway or straight onto a bedside book.
Solid Copper in a Teasel Finish
This Brindley is spun from solid copper, then finished by hand in Teasel, a soft, parchment toned off white that sits between cream and neutral grey. The exterior takes on that gentle painted tone, while the inside of the shade and the two wing shaped joints are left in bare, polished copper, so a warm coppery glow and a flash of bright metal show through whenever the light is switched on.

Where It Works Best
Its directional head makes it a natural choice for hallways and staircases, where one well aimed light can do the work of a much bigger fitting. It also earns its place either side of a bed as a reading light, or in a kitchen or dining room where you want light angled onto a worktop or table rather than spread across the whole room. From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley wall light carries that same hand finished approach, its copper shade shaped and painted by hand before it ever reaches a wall.

- Backed by a 10 year warranty
- Wipe the copper interior and Teasel painted exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners, which can dull the copper.

What bulb does the Brindley wall light take?
It takes one E14 LED bulb rated at 6W maximum. The bulb is not included, so you will need to add one when you order.
Can this light be dimmed?
Yes. It is compatible with dimmer switches as long as you fit a dimmable bulb.
Can I adjust the angle of the light once it is fitted?
Yes. The arm has two copper knuckle joints, one at the wall rose and one at the shade, so you can tilt and turn the head to point the light exactly where you want it.
Is this light handmade, and can it be returned?
Yes. Every Brindley wall light is handmade to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales using solid copper, and because it is made specifically for each order it cannot be returned once placed.
