A Directional Wall Light in Spun Copper
The Brindley wall light is built from a single spun copper dome mounted on an adjustable arm, so the whole head tilts and turns to point light exactly where it is needed. This wall mounted version brings the same shape as the Brindley pendant down onto the wall, useful anywhere you want a fitting you can aim rather than one that floods a whole room evenly.
The Flock Finish in Matt White
This one is finished in Flock, a chalky matt white that coats the copper dome, arm and wall plate. The copper itself is left exposed inside the shade and at the pivoting joints, so the fitting reads as white from most angles but flashes warm copper wherever the metal shows through, at the rim of the shade and the knuckle joints that let it move.
How It Works
- Supplied with a matching wall plate, 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep, ready to be wired in by a qualified electrician.
- The shade itself measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, projecting 224mm out from the wall on its adjustable arm.
- Two copper knuckle joints, one at the wall plate and one at the shade, let the head tilt and turn to redirect the light.
- Takes one 6W max LED bulb with an E14 fitting. Bulb not supplied.
- Dimmable, as long as a dimmable LED bulb is fitted.
Where It Works Best
Its directional throw makes it useful anywhere you want light aimed rather than spread evenly, over a kitchen worktop, either side of a bed, or along a hallway. The pale Flock finish keeps it light enough to sit comfortably in a living room or dining room that is already working with white or pale walls.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. This wall light's copper dome is spun and finished there by hand, with the Flock coating applied over the metal rather than replacing it.

- Wipe the Flock finish with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners, which can wear through the matt coating and expose the copper underneath sooner than intended.

Can this wall light be angled once it is fitted?
Yes. It has two copper knuckle joints, one at the wall plate and one at the shade, so the head can be tilted and turned to point the light where it is needed.
What bulb does it take?
One LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting. The bulb is not included.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch.
Why can this not be returned once it is ordered?
It is made to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales rather than kept as ready made stock, so orders cannot be returned once placed.
