From The Anvil Smooth Copper Brindley Wall Light - Dusk (Dark Blue/Grey)

This Brindley wall light is a hand forged fixture in solid copper, with a shade that tilts on twin knuckle joints so you can point the light exactly where you need it. It is a directional wall light rather than a fixed uplighter, built for close, practical light beside a bed, a mirror or a favourite chair.

This version is finished in Dusk, a deep blue grey painted onto the copper shade and arm. The rim and the inside of the shade are left in bright, polished copper, so the paint and the metal work together: a muted exterior with a warm, glowing interior once the bulb is on. The wall rose and the knuckle joints are also polished copper, giving a clean contrast against the Dusk paintwork.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop.

This Brindley wall light in smooth copper and Dusk is shaped and finished at that Llandrindod Wells workshop, using the same hot forged copper the company has worked with for years.
