The Brindley wall light is built around a pivoting arm, so the dome shaped shade can be angled up, down or across the wall rather than staying fixed in one direction. In this Birch colourway, the shade and arm are finished in a soft pale grey, with warm copper showing through at the joints and lining the inside of the shade.

This Brindley is spun from solid copper, then finished in Birch, a soft pale grey that sits over the metal rather than replacing it. The copper stays visible at the knuckle joints that let the arm pivot, and lines the inside of the dome, so the shade throws a warm coppery glow even though its outer surface reads as a cool, muted grey.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Birch Brindley wall light carries that same hot forged copper through to its Welsh workshop, hand finished in the pale grey colourway rather than left in its natural copper tone.
