This Brindley pendant pairs a smooth, softly matte dome with a bright copper interior that catches the light every time it switches on. It is the kind of fitting that looks understated from across the room and reveals its detail the moment you look up into the shade.

The Bluff Finish

Bluff is a warm, taupe leaning grey, applied over the solid copper base so the metal's warmth still shows through the colour. Inside the shade, the copper is left bare and polished, giving a warm glow when the bulb is lit and a striking contrast against the muted grey outside.

How It Works

• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all necessary fixings.
• 1.5m of black fabric cable is included as standard, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
• Takes an LED bulb only, E27 fitting, 6W maximum. Bulb not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

Where It Works Best

Hang it low over a dining table or kitchen island, where the copper interior throws a warm pool of light down onto the surface below. Grouped in twos or threes at slightly different drop heights, it also works well above a run of worktop. It suits living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms and hallways just as easily as a single drop.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley pendant's copper dome is spun and finished using those same hand skills.
