A Cluster of Dome Shaped Pendants in Birch
This Brindley cluster pendant groups five to six dome shaped shades, each spun from solid copper and bronze, into one grouped ceiling light. Every shade is finished in Birch, a soft pale grey that gives the cluster a calmer, more contemporary look than the range's bare metal finishes, while a narrow band of copper stays exposed around the rim.
The Birch Finish
Birch is a pale grey coating applied over the solid copper and bronze shade, so the smooth copper base still shows through as a polished rim around the opening of each dome. It softens the classic Brindley shape into something closer to a painted pendant, while the exposed copper edge keeps a hint of the material underneath.
How It Works
- Five to six dome shaped shades supplied on staggered drops for a layered, grouped look.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Needs a minimum ceiling height of 1500mm to hang correctly.
- Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.
- Each shade takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included.
Where It Works Best
With five to six shades to arrange, the Brindley cluster works well wherever a single pendant would look sparse, over a dining table, a kitchen island, or a stairwell with the height to let it spread out. Its pale Birch finish suits a bedroom, living room or hallway just as easily as a kitchen or dining room, wherever a softer, more neutral grey is wanted rather than raw metal.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper still hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and lighting, including this Brindley cluster, is produced at the same Welsh workshop.
