Smooth Brass and Upstream Blue

The shade is cast in solid brass, then finished in a smooth matte Upstream blue on the outside. Inside, the brass is left polished and bright, so when the light is switched on it throws a warm glow up onto the ceiling and reflects a soft golden light back down. The contrast between the matte blue exterior and the gleaming brass interior is the real character of this piece.

• Takes one E27 bulb, 6W LED maximum, bulb not included.
• Dimmable when used with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching Upstream blue ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard.
• Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm in height, with a 120mm ceiling rose.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Hockley pendant carries that same hand finished brass through to the fitting hanging over your table.
