A Bold Cone Silhouette in Two Tones

The Hockley pendant brings a strong, sculptural cone shape to a room, cut from solid brass and finished in two contrasting tones. On the outside it wears a soft, parchment toned off white called Teasel. Inside, the brass is left polished and bare, so when the bulb is lit the shade throws a warm, golden glow down and around it.

Smooth Brass and Teasel

This particular Hockley is made in Teasel, a warm, creamy off white with a soft matte texture on the outer surface. Turn it over and the inner brass is smooth and highly polished, catching the light rather than absorbing it. The contrast between the muted exterior and the bright brass interior is what gives this pendant its character, understated from below, warm and glowing once switched on.

How It Works

• Comes fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and 1.5m of black fabric cable, plus all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Takes one LED bulb only, up to 6W, fitted to an E27 bulb holder (bulb not included).
• Dimmable when used with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Shade measures 510mm across and 290mm high, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.

Where It Works Best

Its scale suits a room with a bit of height and space to let the cone shape read properly. Hang it low over a kitchen island or dining table as a single striking fitting, or use it in a hallway to make an entrance feel considered. It also works well in a living room, either on its own over a console or seating area, or grouped in twos or threes for a fuller cluster of light.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forged in steel or hot forged in brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley pendant carries that same hand finished brass through to the lighting range, made using the same hot forging methods the company has used since it started making hardware.
