The Hockley is a wide angled cone pendant with a strong, graphic silhouette. In Soot, its matte dark grey exterior gives it a quiet, contemporary edge, while the interior opens up in polished brass for a warm flash of light and colour every time it is switched on.
The shade is finished in Soot, a deep matte charcoal grey, on the outside, with a smooth, highly polished brass interior left uncoated so it keeps its shine. The cord grip and ceiling rose are finished to match in a dark aged tone, so the fitting reads as one cohesive piece from ceiling to shade.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and the Hockley's solid brass shade is a direct result of that same hot forging process.
