Smooth Brass, Rich Green Dingle Finish

The shade is hot forged from solid brass, then coated in a deep, rich green on the outside. Turn it over and the interior stays bright, polished brass, so once the bulb is lit the light bounces warmly off the metal. That contrast between the matte green outside and the gleaming brass inside gives the pendant real depth, not just a flat coat of colour.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the Hockley pendant carries that same hand forged brass through into its shade and fittings.
