Smooth Brass in Bluff Grey

This version pairs a smooth brass body with a matte Bluff grey exterior, a warm toned grey rather than a cold one. Look up underneath and the shade opens onto polished, unlacquered brass, so the metal will develop its own natural patina over time. The bronze effect ceiling rose and fittings pick up the same warm, aged tone as the interior.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, still produced at the same Welsh workshop using traditional hand forging and hot forging methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley pendant carries that same hand finished approach, with its Bluff grey exterior and brass interior forged and finished by hand rather than mass produced.
