A Striking Cone With Two Finishes

The Hockley pendant is built around one bold shape: a wide, sharply angled cone that runs from a narrow brass gallery at the top down to a broad open rim. Hung on its own over a table or worktop, it makes a real statement, and the open base means light spreads generously into the room below.

Smooth Brass and Pale Grey Birch

This version pairs a smooth brass interior with a pale grey exterior in the Birch colourway. The outside is finished in a soft, flat pale grey with no hammered texture, just a clean painted surface. Inside, the cone is lined in polished brass, so once the bulb is lit the interior glows warmly and throws that brass tone back into the room, while the outside stays calm and understated.

Where It Works Best

Its scale suits a kitchen island or a dining table, where one strong pendant can do the job that several smaller lights would otherwise need to do. It also works well as a single statement light in a hallway, or hung a little lower in a living room to show off that brass interior.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop.

The Hockley shade carries that same hand finished approach, with its brass interior formed and polished at the workshop before the pale grey Birch coating is applied to the outside.

What bulb does the Hockley pendant take? It takes one E27 LED bulb rated up to 6W maximum. The bulb is not included, so you will need to buy one separately.

Is this pendant dimmable? Yes. It works with a dimmer switch as long as you fit a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

How long is the cable and what is included? It comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable and a matching ceiling rose, fully wired and ready to install.

Can I return this pendant if I change my mind? No. Because it is handmade to order in Wales, it cannot be returned once the order has been placed.
