A Softer Take on the Harborne Dome

The Harborne pendant keeps its classic rounded dome shape, but this version swaps texture for a smooth, polished surface. In the Teasel colourway, the outside is a soft, parchment toned off white, while the inside is left in bright, unlacquered brass. Switch it on and that brass interior throws back a warm, golden glow.

The shade itself is solid brass, shaped by hand rather than pressed from a mould. The exterior is finished in Teasel, a cream toned off white that sits somewhere between white and stone, and the interior is left as bare polished brass so the light it throws is warm rather than cool. A dark ceiling flex and matching ceiling rose complete the look, keeping the fixings understated next to the dome.

• Takes one LED E27 bulb, 6W maximum, bought separately.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop using the same hand forging and hot forging methods for steel, brass and copper, alongside modern engineering. This Harborne pendant is shaped and finished at that workshop, so the smooth brass interior you see when it is switched on has gone through the same hands on process as the door handles the brand started with.
