A Rounded Dome With a Reflective Brass Interior

The Harborne pendant is a single dome shaped ceiling light, its wide curved shade stepping down from a tiered brass gallery to a broad open mouth. In this smooth brass base with a Heath exterior, the outside of the dome is coated in a matte, earthy green, while the whole interior is left in polished, untreated brass, so the shade throws a warm glow down and across the room once it's lit.

Smooth Brass in a Heath Finish

Each shade is spun from a single sheet of solid brass with a smooth, unhammered surface, then coated on the outside in Heath, a muted, earthy green with a matte look. The rim and the whole bowl inside are left in bright, untreated brass, so a ring of polished metal frames the opening and reflects the bulb's light back into the room.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Harborne pendant is finished at that same workshop, its Heath green coat brushed on and buffed by hand rather than sprayed as one flat colour.
