A Classic Dome, Finished in Flock White
The Harborne pendant keeps the same rounded, single dome shape found across From The Anvil's lighting range, but this version leaves the brass on show only where it matters. The exterior is finished in Flock, a chalky matt white, while the inside of the shade stays in smooth brass. Switch it on and the dome doubles as its own reflector, throwing a warm glow down from that brass lining.
The Flock Finish
Flock is a soft, matt white paint applied over solid brass, giving the outside of the shade a chalky, powdery look rather than a hard gloss. The inside is left as smooth brass, polished rather than hammered, so it catches the light evenly across the whole curve of the dome. Together the two surfaces give a fitting that reads as understated from the outside and warm gold from below.
How It Works
- Single dome shade, 400mm in diameter and 270mm in height, hung from a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable, and all necessary fixings.
- Takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E27 fitting. Bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Hung low over a dining table, it puts the smooth brass interior right at eye level. It works just as well as a single fitting above a kitchen island, in a hallway, or as a warm central light in a living room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The smooth brass interior inside this Harborne pendant is shaped there by hand, then finished in Flock white to order.

Is the Harborne pendant in Flock dimmable?
Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch.
What size bulb does it take?
It takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, sold separately.
How much cable comes with it?
