A softer take on a classic dome pendant
The Frankley pendant has a simple, sloped dome shape that suits both period and contemporary rooms. This version is finished in Tump, a pale, hillside green that reads as soft and chalky rather than bright, so it settles into a room instead of shouting for attention.
Smooth brass and Tump pale green
The outside of the shade is powder coated in Tump, a muted pale green with a smooth, matte surface. Inside, the shade is left in polished smooth brass, so once a bulb is fitted the light bounces off the brass and spills out warm and golden beneath the cool green exterior.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired, with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one E27 LED bulb, 6W maximum (bulb not included).
- Shade measures 412mm in diameter and 240mm in height. Ceiling rose measures 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best
The Frankley's wide, open shade throws light down and out, which makes it a good single pendant over a dining table or a run of two or three above a kitchen island. In a bedroom or living room it works well set lower as a reading light, and in a hallway it makes a warm, welcoming first impression.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Frankley's brass interior is a good example of that hot forging tradition still at work today.
