A softer take on a classic shape

The Frankley pendant keeps its confident, wide brimmed cone silhouette, but this version trades a bare metal look for something gentler. Cast in smooth brass and finished in Teasel, a soft off white with a warm, parchment like cream tone, it brings the same industrial shape into a room without the cold metallic edge.

The Teasel finish

The outside of the shade is coated in that warm off white Teasel finish, smooth and even rather than textured or hammered. Turn it up and the story changes completely. The inside is left in polished brass, so once a bulb is fitted the light bounces off that bright surface and spreads out as a warm, golden glow rather than a flat white one.

• Finished with a black fabric covered cable running from rose to shade
• Takes a 6W maximum LED bulb with an E27 fitting, bulb not included
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb
• Shade measures 412mm in diameter and 240mm in height, with a ceiling rose measuring 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep

Where It Works Best

Hang one Frankley pendant on its own as a statement piece over a dining table, or hang two or three together above a kitchen island for a bolder, more considered look. The soft Teasel finish also suits bedrooms, living rooms and hallways where a warmer, less industrial tone is wanted.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting like the Frankley pendant produced at the same Welsh workshop. That hand finishing is what gives the Teasel shade its smooth, even coat and its warm brass interior.
