A Bold Shape With A Softer Finish
The Frankley pendant has a wide, flared shade that narrows to a slim neck, a clean and confident shape that anchors a room without shouting for attention. This version pairs that shape with a chalky matt white exterior called Flock, a soft finish that reads more like painted plaster than metal.
Flock Matt White With A Brass Interior
The outer surface of the shade is coated in Flock, a matt white finish with a slightly chalky texture that stays flat under normal light rather than shining like painted metal usually does. Inside, the shade keeps its smooth brass lining bare, so once the bulb is on, light bounces off polished brass and spreads out warm and golden rather than white and flat. The cable grip and ceiling rose are finished in a dark bronze tone that grounds the white shade against the ceiling.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all fixings needed to install it.
- 1m of black fabric cable is fitted as standard.
- Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting. The bulb is not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
The Frankley's wide shade throws light in a broad pool below it, so it suits anywhere you want direct, focused light rather than general room lighting. Hang one on its own over a dining table or a bed, or hang two or three in a row above a kitchen island for a stronger, more even spread. It also works well in a hallway or living room, where a single pendant needs to do some visual work as well as light the space.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Frankley's brass shade comes out of that same hot forging process, worked at the benches where the company started out making door hardware.

What bulb does the Frankley pendant take?
It takes a single E27 LED bulb rated at 6W maximum. The bulb itself is not included.
Can the Frankley pendant be dimmed?
Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. It will not dim with a standard, non dimmable LED.
How long is the cable?
It is supplied with 1m of black fabric cable as standard, along with a matching ceiling rose.
Can I return this pendant if I change my mind?
No. Every Frankley pendant is handmade to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales, which makes it non returnable once the order is placed.
