A Bold, Two Tone Pendant
The Frankley pendant is built around a sleek, dome shaped shade that plays two finishes against each other for a striking result. Seen from below it reads modern and graphic, but once it is switched on the warm brass interior throws a completely different mood across the room.
Smooth Brass and Elan Black
The outside of the shade is coated in a deep, matt Elan Black with no shine to catch the light, giving the pendant a strong, graphic silhouette against a ceiling or wall. Turn it over and the inside is smooth, hand finished brass, left uncoated so it keeps its natural warmth. Once a bulb is lit, that brass interior reflects the light back down in a soft golden wash, a real contrast to the flat black shell outside.

- Comes fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Fitted with 1m of black fabric covered cable as standard.
- Takes an E27 bulb, LED only, 6W maximum, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Hang it low over a dining table where the brass interior can throw light across the surface, or use two or three together above a kitchen island for a bolder, repeated look. The black exterior also works well in a hallway, living room or bedroom where you want a pendant that reads more like a piece of furniture than a fitting, especially in darker or more contemporary schemes.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Frankley pendant's two tone shade, one surface left natural, one given a deep powder coated colour, shows that same hands on approach to metal.
