A Wave Edged Wall Light You Can Angle to Suit
The Flora wall light pairs the range's soft, flower like curves with an arm you can swing and tilt, so the light isn't fixed pointing one way. Dressed here in Tump, a pale, hillside toned green, it brings a gentler splash of colour than the brand's plain metal finishes.
The Tump Finish, In Smooth Brass
Tump is a pale, hillside toned green, applied over a smooth, polished brass base rather than left as bare metal. It sits closer to lichen on stone than a bright leaf tone, a muted, chalky colour on the outside of the shade, while the inside stays polished brass, so a warm golden glow spills out from underneath once it's lit.
How It Works
- Takes one 6W max LED bulb with an E14 fitting, not supplied.
- Dimmable, as long as you fit dimmable bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.
- Two hinged brass joints, one where the arm meets the wall plate and one where it meets the shade, let you swing the light left or right and tilt it up or down.
- The shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm deep, with a projection of 224mm from the wall.
- The circular wall plate is 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best
Because the arm swings and tilts, the Flora wall light works well either side of a bed for reading, or angled along a hallway or staircase wall. It suits a dining room, living room or kitchen too, and pairs naturally with the matching Flora pendant if you want a coordinated scheme.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. It still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting joining the range later at the same workshop. This Flora wall light is shaped from that same brass work, then hand finished in Tump green rather than left in its natural metal tone.
