A Flower Shaped Wall Light

The Flora wall light takes its shape from a single flower head, its scalloped shade curving open like petals catching the light. It sits on an adjustable arm, so once it is fixed to the wall you can still angle the head exactly where you want the light to fall.

Smooth Brass and Teasel Off White

This version pairs a soft, off white Teasel finish across the arm, rose and outer shade with a smooth polished brass lining underneath. When the bulb is lit, that brass lining catches the light and throws a warm golden glow down and outward, while the pale Teasel exterior keeps the fitting itself understated on the wall.

• A double knuckle brass arm lets you tilt and angle the shade after it is mounted.
• Fixes to the wall on a round Teasel finish rose, 105mm in diameter.
• Takes a 6W maximum LED bulb with an E14 fitting, not included.

Where It Works Best

Its warm, downward glow suits bedrooms and hallways well, either as a bedside reading light or a run of fittings lighting the way along a landing or staircase. It works equally well either side of a dining table or in a living room, where its soft light and sculpted shape add a decorative touch without competing with a central pendant. In a kitchen, it makes a good addition above a breakfast nook or reading corner.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forged in steel and hot forged in brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering.

The Flora wall light's brass lining is shaped using that same hot forging process, carried out by the same Welsh workshop that has hand forged From The Anvil's hardware since 1996.
