The Flora wall light takes its shape from a single curved petal. Its scalloped edge is not just decorative. It catches the light from the bulb below and bounces it back down the wall, so the light feels softer and warmer than a plain shade would give.
Smooth Brass and Slate Mid Grey
This version pairs a slate mid grey exterior with a polished brass interior. The grey powder coated finish runs across the shade, the arm and the circular backplate, while the inside of the shade is left in bright brass to reflect the light. The two knuckle joints on the arm are also finished in polished brass, giving a warm contrast against the grey.
How It Works
- Single arm wall light with two brass knuckle joints, so the shade can be angled up, down or to the side once it is fitted.
- Shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a projection of 224mm from the wall.
- Round backplate measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Takes one 6W max LED E14 bulb, not supplied.
- Dimmable if used with dimmable LED bulbs.
Where It Works Best
The Flora's warm brass glow suits a bedroom well, particularly fitted either side of a bed. It works just as naturally in a hallway, dining room, living room or kitchen, anywhere you want a soft accent light rather than a strong overhead beam. It also pairs with the matching Flora pendant for a coordinated scheme.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora's brass interior and knuckle joints are finished by hand there, keeping that hand forged character in a light built for everyday use.

- Handmade to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales, so please allow the usual lead time. It cannot be returned once ordered.
- Comes with a 5 year warranty.
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the brass interior to protect its finish.
