A Flower Shaped Wall Light With Room to Angle
The Flora wall light carries the range's soft, flower shaped curves onto a wall mounted fitting, with a jointed brass arm that lets the shade swivel and tilt to aim its light where it's needed. Dressed here in Birch, a pale, chalky grey, it brings the same sculpted shape as the Flora pendant to a bedside or hallway wall.
The Birch Finish
Birch is applied over the wall light's solid brass shade, arm and wall plate, leaving the inside of the shade in natural polished brass. That contrast means the light still glows warm and golden once switched on, even though the outer surfaces read as a soft, pale grey.
How It Works
- Shade sits on a jointed brass arm that swivels and tilts, so it can be angled up, down or across the wall after fitting.
- Supplied with a 105mm diameter wall plate and all the fixings needed to mount it.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- The shade measures 217mm across and can project up to 224mm from the wall depending on how the arm is angled.
Where It Works Best
Because the shade angles independently of the wall plate, the Flora works well as a single light beside a bed or along a hallway, aimed exactly where it's needed. It suits a living room or dining room too, especially fitted in a pair either side of a mirror or fireplace, and its shape pairs naturally with the matching Flora pendant if that's already hanging elsewhere in the room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. This wall light's Birch finish is applied and polished there by hand, over a shade that starts life as solid spun brass.

Can the shade be angled after it's fitted?
Yes. The arm is jointed at both the wall plate and the shade, so it can be swivelled and tilted to redirect the light without moving the wall plate itself.
Is the Flora wall light dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.

Each one is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
