A Sweeping Shade With Two Different Sides

The Flora pendant is built from one sweeping curve of metal, spun into a wide shade with a soft, wavy edge. It changes character depending on where you stand. Look up from below and the light spills out through a bright, gleaming interior. Step back and the outer face reads calm and matte. It's a single fitting that does the work of two.

The Slate and Brass Finish

This version pairs a Slate exterior, a soft mid grey powder coat, with an interior left in smooth, polished brass. The two finishes sit right next to each other along the rolled edge of the shade, so the contrast is visible from almost any angle in the room. The brass takes the hardware too. The lamp holder and suspension fittings carry a warm, aged brass tone that ties back to the interior of the shade.

How It Works

• Takes a single LED bulb only, 6W maximum, on a standard E27 fitting. The bulb is not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Comes with 1m of black fabric cable as standard.
• The shade measures 500mm in diameter and 146mm high. The ceiling rose is 106mm in diameter.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora pendant's spun brass shade carries that same hands on approach to metal into a piece built for everyday lighting.
