The Flora pendant takes a curved, petal edged shade and gives it a fresh face in Heath, an earthy green that sits somewhere between moss and sage. Spun from a single sheet of solid brass, the shade keeps the soft undulating edge that gives every Flora fitting its name, as if a leaf had been lifted straight from the garden and turned into a light.

The Heath Green Finish

Heath is a matte, muted green applied to the outer face of the brass shade, while the inside keeps its natural polished brass shine. When the pendant is lit, that polished interior throws a warm golden glow across the room, while the green exterior reads as a quiet, grounded colour from every angle. The lamp holder and ceiling rose are finished in a dark bronze tone, and the fitting hangs on a black fabric covered flex.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop, and that hand finishing is exactly what gives the Heath green on this Flora pendant its warm, slightly uneven, handmade character.
