A Petal Edged Shade in Crisp Matt White
The Flora pendant is shaped by hand into a wide, wave edged curve that falls like the petals of an open flower. This version dresses that soft, sculptural shape in a bright matt white, so it reads as a clean, contemporary piece rather than a traditional metal fitting, while still keeping its warm brass lining once switched on.
The Flock Finish
Flock is a chalky, totally matte white coating applied by hand over the shade's smooth spun brass. The white sits only on the outside, so the inside of the shade keeps its natural brass finish, bright and warm, letting a golden glow spill out from under the white exterior once the bulb is lit.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1m of black fabric cable provided as standard.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- Shade measures 500mm in diameter and 146mm in height, with a ceiling rose measuring 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Where It Works Best

Its crisp white exterior suits a kitchen or hallway that's already working with white panelling or cabinetry, and a single drop also sits well in a bedroom or living room wherever a softer, more ambient pool of light is wanted.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Flora pendant's Flock finish is one of the ways that same workshop has taken a traditionally forged shape and hand finished it in a crisp, contemporary colour.
